Social Justice

The Saint Joan of Arc Social Justice Group seeks to contribute to the fulfillment of our parish mission to be a "family strongly committed to faith development, education and social justice".

Our goal is to help the SJA Parish and School realize this commitment to social justice, and contribute to the building of God's Kingdom of justice and peace. To this end, we strive to promote awareness and understanding of existing injustices in both, our local and world communities and to encourage parishioners to participate in actionsthat lead to effective social change.

Our activities are guided by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, which recognize the dignity and worth of all people. We involve the entire prish in a global outreach program to our sister parish in Coban, Guatemala.
